Falls are a persistent hazard found in all occupational settings. A fall can occur during the simple act of walking, climbing a ladder to change a light fixture, or as a result of a complex series of events affecting an ironworker 80 feet above the ground. Your employer is required to prevent you and other employees from falling from overhead platforms, elevated work stations, or into holes in the floor, ground, and walls. This course teaches students how to recognize and avoid hazards, and also how to reduce and/or remove the fall-related hazards they encounter at construction sites.
