Overview

UL Solutions

The training provides greater depth on an expanded list of topics associated with workplace hazards for construction safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter at a construction site, as opposed to the 30 Hour OSHA Construction Outreach course that is for workers without supervisory responsibility.

While voluntary at the U.S. federal level, it holds significant importance within various sectors. Upon successfully finishing the program, each student will be awarded a completion card sanctioned by the U.S. Department of Labor, serving as a testament to their accomplishment. It's essential to note that OSHA Outreach Training is exclusively accessible to trainees within the geographic jurisdiction governed by the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Act.

Trainees outside this jurisdiction will not receive cards. This 30-Hour program is intended for workers with some safety responsibility, and the 10-Hour program is primarily intended for entry-level workers. The program will take longer than 30 hours.

Benefits

Upon successful completion of the UL Solutions OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Training, students will achieve the following benefits:

  • Cultivate a Safety-Oriented Mindset: Students will develop a safety-focused mindset and acquire valuable skills essential for their future in the construction industry;
  • Empowered with Knowledge: Participants will gain in-depth insights into their worker rights, employer responsibilities, and how to address complaints, empowering them to navigate workplace challenges confidently;
  • OSHA Training Institute (OTI) Wallet Card: Upon completion, students will receive a prestigious wallet card from the OSHA Training Institute (OTI). This card serves as a tangible endorsement to employers, verifying that they have received the necessary safety training required in the workplace; and
  • Enhanced Employability: Graduates will experience heightened employability, granting them a competitive advantage in the job market. The acquired knowledge and certification will make them stand out to potential employers, increasing their chances of securing rewarding opportunities in the construction industry.
Department of Labor (DOL) Cards

We advise trainees to expect to receive their OSHA card in the mail in 6-8 weeks after course completion. If we are notified within 90 days of course completion that a card wasn't received, a replacement card can be requested (at no additional charge). Any card that is requested 90 days or more after course completion becomes a replacement card request, and there is a $50 fee associated. Support will verify we have a completion record for the trainee and confirm they are eligible to receive the replacement. If so, they must complete a replacement card form. All reissued and replacement cards are shipped vs. mailed, and a (Fedex) tracking link will be provided.
